Russian kids of Montreal

Who needs Russian language outside Russia? Can one forget it? How do immigrants relate to their motherland, and what do they mean by that word? Do they want to pass their culture and traditions to their children?

Authors of "Russian Kids of Montreal" attempt to answer these questions. The result is a collective image of families whose lives crossed in the bilingual Canadian city of Montreal. The movie addresses problems of adaptation and the will to preserve a cultural heritage.

It's a reflection on how one’s perception of self evolves away from home and an attempt to find an answer to the question “Who am I?”.
